We developed a fully integrated system to support Academic, Administrative, Financial, and Student Services and connects key platforms to provide seamless access and support for students, staff, and stakeholders.
In-house Development
Developing and managing different digital application required by the different offices of the University. Regular tech support, facilitate required changes from time to time are also included.
Support and Services
Supplying Computer and IT related equipment and providing user end support (Faculty and Staff Members) for their Desktops, Laptops, Scanners, Printers and other IT assets as per the policy of ICT Centre.

Managing Three (03) well-furnished Computer Laboratory with up-to-date modern facilities for Lab classed and research works.

Implementing CAN (Campus Area Network) to develop and proliferate high speed internet facility through wired and wireless technology for every student, faculty and staff members.

The ICT Department offers a wide range of services, including access to the Online Campus Management System (OCMS), university web mail, high-speed Wi-Fi, and computer lab facilities. We also provide technical support for desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment used across departments.
How Can I Get Support for My University Email, OCMS, or Wi-Fi Access?
If you’re having trouble logging into your email, OCMS, or Wi-Fi, visit the ICT Help Desk or contact us through the university support portal. You’ll need your student/staff ID and account details for verification and assistance.
Does the ICT Department Offer Data Storage Solutions?
Yes. We provide a secure FTP server over the Local Area Network (LAN) where students, faculty, and staff can store and back up important academic and administrative data safely within campus.
What Measures Are in Place to Ensure Campus Network and System Reliability?
Our team maintains a fully operational server room, implements a Campus Area Network (CAN) for reliable wired and wireless internet, and ensures system maintenance and cybersecurity protocols are followed. We also manage IP cameras for campus safety.
Who Should I Contact for IT Equipment Requests or Technical Issues in My Office?
Faculty and staff can request support for computers, printers, scanners, and other IT devices through the ICT Department. All requests must follow the university’s IT policy and can be submitted through your department or directly at the ICT office.
Where is the ICT Department Located on Campus and What Are Its Operating Hours?
The ICT Department is located at both the Main Campus and the Town Campus of SIMAD University. Our office hours are from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday through Thursday.
How Does the ICT Department Contribute to Campus Security?
We manage and monitor IP camera systems installed in both campus locations to support security and surveillance operations. This helps ensure a safe learning and working environment.
